Choose by the required appearance, substrate condition, finished depth and maintenance plan. Wallpaper may suit a patterned finish close to the existing wall; a panel system may suit a defined profile or modular finish. Price wall preparation before choosing the finish

Use supplier pack coverage and the installer’s layout rather than assuming every purchased square metre becomes finished wall. Identify exclusions and the responsibility for final measurements. Keep the approved sample and product or batch reference for later repairs. Ask whether replacement material can be sourced, without treating today’s availability as a future guarantee.
