LED channels beside WPC walls: buyer coordination
WPC wall panels with LED channels in Uzbekistan can create an attractive reception or retail feature, but the channel is a separate product with its own installation requirements. A rendering rarely shows wiring access, driver replacement or how the diffuser is removed. Buyers should coordinate those details before ordering profiles or authorising a cut.
Let the lighting specialist specify the electrical system and its installation conditions. Coordinate the WPC layout around the approved channel dimensions, service access and mounting method. Do not assume a decorative groove is a suitable housing for an LED strip.
Define the visual effect before the hardware
Decide whether the brief calls for a visible linear light, a concealed edge glow or illumination across the fluted surface. Each creates a different junction and viewing angle. Mark the required start and end points on an elevation. Ask the designer to consider what the wall looks like with the light switched off, when a diffuser or unfinished recess may become more noticeable than the intended glow.
Request the complete lighting package
Obtain the channel, diffuser, mounting components and access requirements from the lighting supplier. The qualified electrical team must resolve electrical and thermal suitability using the selected equipment instructions. Do not borrow clearance values from another system or expect the panel supplier to design the circuit. Keep driver location and replacement access visible in the coordination drawing, especially where the decorative wall would otherwise conceal them permanently.
Check panel geometry around the channel
Use the actual WPC profile drawing to confirm where the light meets ribs, joints and cut edges. A narrow recess may leave an unsupported decorative strip or interfere with the panel’s joining arrangement. Ask for the panel supplier’s permitted cutting and fixing method. If a custom profile or fabricated backing is proposed, record who designs and supplies it. A visually similar channel is not automatically a compatible substitute.
Build a short illuminated sample junction
Review a representative junction using the selected finishes and lighting components. Examine the diffuser from normal standing and seated positions, and check whether the light exaggerates uneven alignment. This mock-up is for appearance and access review, not a test certificate for the assembly. Write an accessible handover
Record component references, the approved junction drawing and the party responsible for service. Show how the diffuser and electrical equipment can be reached without damaging adjacent panels. Ask the installer to demonstrate access before final acceptance. If a replacement lighting product later changes size or mounting, require a new compatibility check. This keeps a small maintenance task from becoming a complete wall replacement project.
