Approve what is actually supplied rather than promise a bookmatch that has not been confirmed. Review the layout under the planned reception lighting, with the edge treatment visible. If the finish has a protective film, obtain instructions for its removal before judging the final gloss or colour. Record the accepted orientation and sheet reference.
Specify edge protection and handover information
Desk corners can be exposed to bags, cleaning tools and deliveries, but their actual duty depends on the project. Ask the fabricator to propose an edge detail compatible with the sheet and substrate, then review a sample corner. The quotation should separate decorative sheets, trims, fabrication, installation and any substrate work. General HSE handling guidance supports planning the movement of sheet materials; it does not specify the product’s impact resistance. Retain spare identification information and the approved cleaning method at handover. This is more useful than an unsupported promise that a glossy surface is maintenance-free.
