Ask for the board substrate, nominal and usable dimensions, thickness, surface construction, finish reference, edge and joint detail, recommended fixing method and packing for the selected sheet. A marble-look sheet is a decorative surface, not a substitute for waterproofing or a heat-rated lining.
Match the surface to the room
Large-format sheets can create a continuous visual field in a dry interior, but seams, corners, service openings and substrate flatness still determine the installed result. In humid or heat-exposed rooms, ask for product-specific suitability and installation evidence before specifying the panel.
Our UV marble sheet buyer guide explains why the substrate and coating must be checked separately. The heat-exposure guide sets out the questions to ask near cooking equipment and direct sunlight.
Compare samples using the same checklist
| Item | Confirm for the exact sheet |
|---|---|
| Board construction | Substrate, surface and cross-section in the current specification. |
| Pattern and gloss | Physical sample under the project's lighting and pattern-repeat plan. |
| Installed dimensions | Usable size, tolerances, cut plan and joint placement. |
| Fixing and edges | Approved substrate, adhesive or mechanical fixing and compatible trims. |
| Transit protection | Face film, carton or pallet method and damage inspection points. |
Keep claims tied to the test report
“Waterproof,” “fireproof,” “heat resistant” and “low VOC” need definitions and product-specific evidence. Request the current report and identify its named material, test method, thickness and mounting conditions. The standards and evidence guide shows how to review a report without treating an industry standard as a certificate for every sheet.
Price, MOQ, available patterns and delivery window are confirmed in the quotation for the selected product and destination.
